Overview

All Applying Responsibilities plus:

Coordinate customer/supplier activities ( containment )

Setup ( 2 ) technologies ( within established time study )

Create and install CNC programs

Coordinate setup activities utilizing the department schedule

Participate in machine runoffs

Coordinate maintenance activities within the department ( maintenance open work orders )

Perform routine maintenance tasks

Develop plans and drive improvements to achieve budget targets ( CIMS )

Participate in the budgeting process

Actively participate in program and cell launches of new product ( Prototypes )

Lead and participate CI process / plan and implement corrective actions

Lead cell on quality process assurance

Act on improvement suggestion ideas

Participate to define autonomous maintenance activities ( daily pre-op inspections )

Identify methods to enhance and share team knowledge ( communication )

Contribute to design and implement Poke-a-yoke

Contribute to equipment design-If applicable

Identify appropriate machining process, speed and feed for job-if applicable

Identify repetitive failures and/or implement corrective actions based on failure analyses-if applicable

Lead sort activities in-house or externally at customer locations

Troubleshoot / problem solve maintenance repairs

Lead a problem solving team


Qualifications / Experience / Skills


FORMAL EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. with courses in the industrial or mechanical technologies, industrial maintenance, or post-secondary technical training, or equivalent combination of education and on-the-job experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Three to five years’ experience in machine technology/operations and routine maintenance plus demonstrated competency to perform all the tasks outlined in the Machine Operator Applying Level
