Overview
We are a fast growing small manufacturer in the Campbell Heights area of Surrey, BC. We have opening for a Shop Assistant. This is a great position for someone who wants to work in industry and has little experience, but is mechanically inclined.
The day-to-day activities involve:
- Operating basic hand tools, power hand tools (i.e. grinders, die grinder, wrench);
- Assist assemblers, machine operators and welders with various tasks
- General shop clean up
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge working with tools or machinery will be considered an asset;
- Must also be safety conscious, reliable, punctual, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and organized
- Forklift ticket an asset but not required
- Level 1 First Aid an asset but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
