Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic stainless steel structural and tube welder to join our growing organization. In this role you will lead the fabrication effort to build sanitary process equipment. The successful candidate will work with a team of talented engineers, quality assurance experts and highly skilled trades people to delivery state of the art process systems.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role including mentoring and training
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Fit- up and welding of stainless steel structural members of varying sizes and thicknesses to fabricate frames and platforms for pharmaceutical and hygienic process equipment
  • Fit- up of stainless steel sanitary tube, pipe, and associated components for pharmaceutical and hygienic process equipment
  • Will work primarily with stainless steel tube (thickness – 0.035 inch to 0.29 inch)
  • Participate in constructability and design reviews
  • Manual and automatic TIG welding
  • Stick welding

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as stainless steel tube fitter in a pharma or semi conductor industry
  • TIG welding experience in 6G position is preferred
  • Stick welding as per AWS D1.6
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, equipment and fabrication drawings
  • Safety oriented, observing proper lifting techniques and safe use of all equipment
  • Able to work well under pressure while striving to meet commitments to clients
  • High attention to detail in all areas of work with an ability to communicate both in writing and verbally

Experience:

  • hygienic piping ( tubing) pharmaceutical: 2 years (Required)

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Preferred)
