NOC Job Title: Ironworker – Reinforcing Rebar
Job Summary
Cobra Rebar Services are hiring full-time ironworkers who specialize in installing rebar.
Job sites: Vancouver and various job sites throughout Lower Mainland, BC
Term: Full time, 40 hours/week, permanent
Salary: $32 per hour, possible for Overtime

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to handle, unload and position rebar units so each piece can be hoisted as needed;
- Load and unload materials as required and place rebar units in beams and pillars;
- Place and secure rebar on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects in horizontal and vertical formwork;
- Able to identify the different sizes, lengths and bend types of rebar;
- Able to perform physical work like packing rebar, snap typing rebar, cutting rebar with a cut saw and placing rebar chairs appropriately;
- Read and interpret detail sheets and drawings work with apprentices;
- Work around and signal crane operators, work at heights with positioning equipment;
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
Job Requirements for the position are:
- At least 3 years of work experience in trade;
- Familiar with slabs, walls, columns, zones, beams, slab bands, and able to work with any of these with information laid out;
- Ability to work alone and in team as well as under minimal supervision;
- Ability to relocate.
