LMS Reinforcing Steel Group, based in Surrey, BC is currently hiring Ironworker / RodBusters for full-time, permanent jobs in over 150 projects in the Vancouver area – including Downtown, North Vancouver, New Westminster, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey and Richmond.
Duties include:
- Place and secure rebar on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects in horizontal and vertical formworks
- Able to identify the different sizes, lengths and bend types of rebar
- Able to perform physical work like packing rebar, snap-tying rebar, cutting rebar with a cut saw and placing rebar chairs appropriately
- Read and interpret detail sheets and drawings
- Work with apprentices
- Work around signal cranes and at heights with positioning equipment
Requirements:
- Ironworkers must have at least 2 years’ experience working in the construction industry
- Familiar with slabs, walls, columns, zones, beams, slab-bands and able to work on any of these with information laid out and under supervision.
