Overview
Merit Services is hiring a WELDER for client in the Metal Industry. The selected candidate will be performing a welder job in the workplace and commuting to different locations when necessary and welding.
Location: ETOBICOKE
Wage: $18 to $19 per hour (depending on the experience)
We are looking for energetic, self motivated and organized welders.
Responsibilities:
Follow all safe work practices
Commute to different locations to perform welding when needed
Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
Welds and assembles metal components
Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding
Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
Experience in MIG welding.
Must know how to use the torch.
Requirements:
Some experience working as a welder
Highly safety conscious
Focused, with good attention to detail.
Safety behaviors, work ethic and initiative.
Understand and apply welding techniques, work quickly and skillfully with the hands.
