Position Overview:

Riley Technologies is looking for skilled Fabricators with TIG and MIG Welding experience to assist with the “hands on” manufacture of structural steel & aluminum components, suitable applicants are likely to have worked with materials such as Nickel Alloys (Inconel), Titanium and Stainless steel.

Working with steel & aluminum, you will be responsible for manufacturing components working to engineering drawings and jigs to produce high precision fabricated components. Successful candidates will have previous fabrication experience within the Motorsport, Aerospace/Aviation, Marine, Defense or Scientific Industry.

In conjunction with the fabricating responsibilities, you will also be required to assist the department manager and others in the department, as required. We are looking for an employee with a good attitude who enjoys working in a team environment who has an advanced skill level and working knowledge of the fabrication, welding and manufacturing processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Exceptional TIG & MIG welding skills

  • Produce structurally sound welds and fabricate complex assemblies from fabrication and engineering drawings with minimal guidance.

  • Be able to operate all equipment used in the fabrication department – Sheet metal shearing and trimming, Metal forming using sheet metal breaks, rollers and dies. Proficient with hand tools such as grinders, drills etc.

  • The ability to read and understand engineering technical drawings

  • Pride in delivering quality products is essential, together with a positive approach to continuous improvement

  • A team player with a great attitude, reliable and punctual.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, climb inside and under cars at ground level, able to stand for multiple hours at one time.

Education/Experience:

  • At least 4-years fabrication experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good mechanical aptitude

  • Proven track record to multi-task and successfully follow detailed instructions

  • General knowledge of safe use processing tools (i.e. deburr tools, presses, etc.)

  • Ability to understand logical part flow and reasoning behind cross training and flexibility

  • General knowledge of basic math and dimensioning and tolerances

  • Good communication skills.
