We are hiring for TACK Welders! Candidates MUST have the ability to pass required weld test: 2” on 45 w/GTAW (TIG) Root & Hot Pass in 6G position.
Works under the direction of a foreman, receives instructions from a fabricator, places tack welds in pipe spools to hold together prior to welding. Ability to read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift; knowledge of welding machine; gather material listed on sketch; prep pipe and fittings with pneumatic grinders for fit up; clean out inside diameter of pipe and fittings with compressed air after fit up; follow instructions given by fabricator; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times, other duties as assigned.
