Overview

Are you a welder fitter in Cambridge? Are you looking for a full-time position and have experience with welding/fitting? Are you enthusiastic and willing to learn a new trade? If so, keep reading for more information!

You do not require a valid welding ticket for this role!

In this role you will be:

  • spot, fit and assemble various mold components to close tolerance using hand and power tools
  • welding
  • read and interpret readings and blueprints
  • grinding and polishing metal
  • record and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • use micrometers and calipers
  • computing dimensions and tolerances and measure and layout work pieces

Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must have experience with aluminum and steel welding
  • polishing/finishing experience required
  • attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks and time management skills
  • strong eagerness to learn the trade
  • excellent attendance
  • good work ethic
