LJ Welding Automation is actively looking for an Apprentice Welder in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Edmonton

Shift: Monday – Thursday

Hours: 6:45 am to 5:00 pm

Wage: 22-25/hourly

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work with a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to analyze process for continuous improvement
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or welding process specifications
  • Proficient in the set-up and operation of welding machines and relevant equipment
  • Perform fitting, cutting, welding, and grinding operations
  • Perform rigging and custom fabrication
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from the Foreman/Lead Hand
  • Follow LJ safety policies and perform safe operations of machines, cranes, rigging, forklifts and other related machinery and tools
  • Maintain tools, material and equipment and keep parts and supplies organized

Role Requirements:

  • Registered Welding Apprentice is required
  • Forklift and Crane safety training considered an asset
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations and fast-paced work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet specified deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of OH&S, rigging, sling, and crane operation procedures
  • Wear PPE and always observe Health & Safety policies
  • Ability to stand and be on your feet for 12+ hours a day
  • Ability to repetitively kneel, bend, and stretch
  • Work environment includes working outside in all weather conditions

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
