OEM Product Technician – Welder Apprentice 3rd or 4th Year
As an OEM Product Technician, you would be helping to build and support DBE’s water treatment products. Your primary role would be help fabricate and assemble DBE’s water treatment containment units using your fabrication skills. On occasion, you would also be required to provide field support to help keep operations running in the field and minimize downtime for our clients and service providers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Journeyman in the fabrication and assembly of tubing, piping and structural components
  • When adequately trained, Use manual and semi automatic welding
  • When adequately trained , operate manual/ semi automatic cutting equipment
  • Demonstrate proper housekeeping in your work area
  • Participate in company meetings and safety talks

Key Competencies/Expectations

  • Provide blue book stating you are a registered apprentice under AIT or have the willingness to obtain blue book and become a registered welding apprentice
  • Willingness to develop skills and knowledge of the welding trade and the systems that we manufacture
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Able to follow basic instructions and ask for help when task is unclear
  • Ability to read measuring tape confidently using metric and imperial system
  • Positive attitude
  • Takes pride in work and demonstrates a sense of ownership
  • Ability to handle stress and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Calm and collect
  • Proper use of PPE and safe operation of tools given to perform tasks
  • Meet deadlines given by Fabrication manager and work as a team to complete them

Experience:

  • Pipe Welding: 1 year (preferred)
  • Welding: 2 years (required)
  • TIG Welding: 1 year (required)
