ProAll International Manufacturing Ltd., located in Olds, AB, A Terex Brand is seeking an Apprentice or Journeyman Aluminum Welder. As an Aluminum Welder, your primary responsibility will be to join aluminum parts and components using welding techniques. You will be working with aluminum materials in various thicknesses and sizes, using different welding processes such as TIG, and MIG welding. Qualifications:
- Current welding apprentice or journeyman certified welder
- Experience in TIG processes and working with aluminum and mild steel
- Knowledge of welding principles, techniques, and equipment
- Experience in plasma and torch cutting
- Stainless steel TIG would be an asset
- FCAW and MCAW would be an asset
- Intermediate blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Self-motivated and can work well under limited supervision
- Time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Team oriented positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Leadership and coaching skills are considered an asset
- Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Think and react to changing conditions as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and precisely
- Physical dexterity and strength to handle welding equipment and materials
- Ability to rivet some assemblies prior to welding
- Flexible to accommodate varying shift times, if necessary
- Physically fit
Responsibilities:
- Work in a manufacturing setting in a clean and well-equipped welding shop
- Clean and prepare joints for aluminum welding, maintain welding torches and machine. Position welding required for some parts in the shop.
- MIG process would be required when there is no aluminum welding
- Follow work orders and weld assemblies to specifications
- Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE and maintain integrity
- Monitoring the welding process to ensure the quality and consistency of the welds
- Interpret work orders, drawings and complete all documentation accurately
- Ensure quality work is done in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow up with supervisors to communicate status of equipment being worked on
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work related processes
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
