Academy is a well-established and fast-growing fabrication company with location in both Onoway and Edmonton, AB. We service a wide rage of industries which includes oil & gas, mining, and other heavy industrial sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Academy’s safety program, values, and culture
  • Preparation of flange bolt-up, large and small bore
  • Complete Hydro Testing preparations
  • Filling pipe spools with water
  • Running torque equipment, manual and hydraulic
  • Familiar with safe work practices
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • May be required to operate a forklift

Requirements

Education

  • Active apprenticeship registered with AIT for welding or pipefitting (must have Bluebook)

Qualifications

  • 1-year experience working in a fabrication shop
  • 1-year experience working Hydro Testing
  • Overhead crane experience would be an asset
  • Ability to read and understand pipe spool drawings
  • English Language Fluency is required
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Skills

  • The ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to lift a minimum 50lbs, be physically fit

Salary: $27.00-$36.00 per hour
