KAY-SON is a proudly Canadian owned fabrication plant that has been in operation since 1965. Located in Coquitlam, BC, we are a supply only structural steel fabricator servicing both the Canadian and US markets. As a single source fabricator, we work closely with our customers to find innovative solutions to complex problems and deal with customer concerns promptly and efficiently. We are looking for Apprentices to join our team!
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Apprentice will learn all aspects of steel fabrication and welding skills, material handling, and robotic and CNC machine operations to help ensure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely.
The program runs for 5 years with wage escalation along the way.
Qualifications:
Successfully completed foundation courses for fabrication and welding
Can operate cranes and forklifts
Has the ability to read blue prints
Safely setup, start-up and operates oxy and plasma CNC equipment.
Ensure to keep work area neat and clean
Follow company’s safety policy and complete job task in a manner that does not put him or other individuals in an unsafe situation
Superior organization and computer skills, time management.
