Overview
Star Railroad LLC is looking for motivated metalworkers to join our repair crew. Our location in Green Cove Springs has been repairing and modifying railcars for companies like CSX, Progress Rail, and Trinity Rail Leasing since 1973.
Job Description:
*Affect repairs and modifications to boxcars, gondolas, open top hopper cars per AAR and FRA guidelines.
*Follow and understand directions of shop leads and management to complete job within time standards.
*Use of hand and power tools to complete job.
*Use of oxy torch cutting and SMAW/FCAW (stick and flux-core) welding processes.
Job Requirements:
*Experience or knowledge of SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux core) welding processes.
*Experience or knowledge of oxy torch use.
*Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
*Ability to use basic shop tools and math skills.
*Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
*Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, etc. for extended periods of time.
*Punctual and consistent attendance (own vehicle preferred).
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday
7:00am – 3:30pm
