Overview
Job Purpose
General operations of OSB manufacturing systems in a safe and efficient manner according to all codes and regulations.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
Repairs bins, containers and carts.
Qualified in the welding processes such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on a variety of materials.
Conducts safety checks on welding equipment and accessories.
Completes required paperwork utilizing CMMS program associated with repairing mill equipment.
Assists millwrights in the completion of project work.
Performs related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal parts.
Works from prints, drawings and verbal instructions.
Performs standard layouts and set-ups of dimensions and tolerances.
Utilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment.
Performs other maintenance related work as required.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / Work Safe BC Standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
What do I need to be successful?
Must be physically fit and able to carry up to 50 lbs
Work in an environment which may be hot at times.
Ability to use computer and supporting software
1+ years’ industry experience
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Education
Certified Level B Welder
