About our facility in Monroe, NC An ISO 9001-approved quality management system oversees production of high performance industrial three-screw pumps and three-screw pumps for Naval combat and support ships. This plant includes research and development. A fabrication facility is an integral part of the operation and uses qualified welders and weld procedures.

POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
Plans, manages, and directs the overall continuous improvement program and activities of the site. Coordinates the deployment of site-wide standard methods for value creation and waste elimination in accordance with industry standard strategic deployments of Lean and Six Sigma. Provides advice and assistance to other departments as required.
Principal Activities
Lead and Program Manage site’s CIRCOR Operating System (COS) program to achieve business goals.
Align metrics to establish targets.
Translate organization strategy/direction into actions & objectives.
Fully committed and engaged with COS activities.
Responsible for regular COS assessments of facility, identifying gaps, developing solution recommendations & approvals, and creating & management of a RAIL.
Manage site COS business process attribute Champions, responsible for regular COS assessments of facility, identifying gaps, developing solution recommendations & approvals, and creating & management of a RAIL.
Facilitate COS Business Process Attribute events (e.g. Kaizen, VSM, Workshops) along with the site attribute champions, to progress COS attribute maturity and engage & empower the employees in an effort to develop a culture of excellence.
Communicate regularly COS progress to both executive & senior leadership and associates.
Continuously monitor and validate appropriate COS competency exists within the site.
Regularly support & facilitate independent COS site assessments at other sites as required.
Regularly support & conduct Enterprise and Manufacturing Kaizen events at other sites when requested.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Attend appropriate customer or business meetings.
Mentor and support continuous improvement personnel when requested.
Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience
BS Degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 7 years experience focused in Lean Practice and Problem Solving.
Certification is desired in ASQ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Professional Engineering License or Registration.
