Job purpose:
Work with the onsite maintenance/well servicing group to weld structural and pile caps as needed, and assist in the removal and reinstallation of piping and supports to support the service rig work. Majority of your duties are to stay in front of the service rigs and follow up behind. But when the schedule allows will be working with the onsite maintenance crews.
The shift is 7 on and 7 off 12hours a day , 80 Reg and 4 OT hours per shift. OT eligible with client approval. Pending on schedule OT may be required. Overtime opportunity is available periodically

Key Deliverables:
- Must be Alberta Journey Certified Welder
- Must have CWB welding ticket
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Familiar with rigging practices.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work with the crew to remove piping and supports as need for access to the well for the service rigs.
- Work with the crew to reinstall structural and piping as needed once the service rigs are complete.
- Work with the onsite maintenance crew to fill the rest of the schedule as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include:
- Journey certified welder.
- CWB all positions qualified.
- T ticket is an asset. Or willing to go get it when hired.
- Valid driver license.
- Clean Drivers abstract (5-year commercial)
Additional qualifications
- Pipefitting ticket or registered App is an asset. Or willing to sign up. Additional compensations for dual tickets.
- Experience with rigging and working around picker trucks or cranes.

- H2S Alive, 1st Aid, TDG, WHMIS, Fall Protection, CSO mandatory

Working conditions:
Able and willing to work long hours, in northern Alberta weather. Job is majority outside work. All year round.
Physical requirements:
The worker should be mechanically inclined, physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions. This position is considered safety sensitive and will be subject to pre-access, reasonable cause and post-incident drug & alcohol testing. A fitness for work exam will be required for this position.
- Ability to regularly handle and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to pass a medical fit for work exam
- Ability to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
