Canada International Construction, a leading industrial services company, is seeking a skilled and experienced CWB Welder to join our team at a long-term site project. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated welder looking to showcase their expertise in a dynamic work environment. Salary will be 21/hr and up depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks according to project specifications and industry standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
- Operate welding equipment and tools effectively and safely
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and maintain productivity
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of welding experience
- Certified CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) Welder
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with welding symbols and welding codes
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Possess own tools, including chipping hammer, wire cutters, measuring tape, etc.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of proper handling of welding equipment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
