Anti Bribery and Corruption Compliance Assistant
Ideal candidate, recent graduate that is very detailed oriented and handles direction well. Position will require an individual that can research and have look at things from an analysis level. Excellent communication and collaborating with multiple departments and managers. This is a junior role.
The Contractor – Legal Trading Compliance is charged with:
Supporting the Compliance team in ensuring Company’s marketing, trading and supplier engagement activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABAC) and Economic Sanctions regulations such the Foreign and Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act (UKBA), US OFAC sanctions, the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CSFP) and other relevant legislation where Company has a material presence.
Monitoring compliance with internal processes developed by the Legal and Compliance Departments.
KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with Know Your Counterparty (KYC) and Due Diligence processes and related legislation (in particular the UK Bribery Act and US FCPA). A demonstrated background in ABAC compliance practices and principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
ABAC (Anti bribery and Corruption) and Economic Sanctions Compliance
Carry out Sabine Pass Liquefaction’s (SPL), Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL), and Company’s Marketing International’s (CMI) Due Diligence checks
Provide back up to the Compliance team in coordinating the KYC approval process for SPL, CCL, and CMI in the Houston, London and Singapore Offices
Provide support to other Company entities regarding the KYC checks carried out on major vendors and third parties who are considered Covered Parties under the Third-Party Procedures.
Education and Certifications:
§ Bachelors Degree preferably
Experience:
§ Familiarity with ABAC/KYC compliance
Skills:
§ Working knowledge of natural gas and LNG markets
§ Must demonstrate integrity, decisiveness and good judgment under pressure
§ Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload, work independently and as a member of a team
§ Strong ambition to learn and ability to communicate with people of different professional backgrounds
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
§ Strong attention to detail
§ Must be willing to travel, as necessary
Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
