Field Welder


Location: Irving, Texas

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Field Welder position available at our Irving, Texas location. Travel around DFW Metro and surrounding counties in company trucks in order to provide excellent service to our customers. Overnight travel will be required as needed. This position is responsible for providing equipment welding repair service in order to meet our customer needs.


Job Description
:

This position is responsible for providing equipment welding repair service in order to meet our customer needs. This service needs to be performed in a positive, caring, and timely manner. A qualified candidate must build rapport with customers through technical expertise and quality service on equipment so that service value is reached. The responsibilities include:

  • A self-motivated, and thoughtful individual with a high energy level who is able to work well in a field environment and able to get along well with customers and other employees.
  • Must be capable of performing complex welding – stick and flux-core welding repairs correctly.
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.


Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years of welding experience with a stick, mig, tig, flux, and others.
  • Must be able to do line boring required

  • Must be able to pass a welding test
  • Heavy equipment welding experience highly desired.

  • Must have own tools.
  • Class B Driver license will be required, if not in possession, the candidate must be able to attain within 6 weeks of employment.
  • The candidate must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
  • Must be able to work required hours.
