Overview
Job Summary:
The Fire Sprinkler Fitter will be responsible for assisting in layout, assembly and installation of fire sprinkler piping and related materials to the specifications of engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering/design, architectural and structural blueprints
Select type/size of pipe and related materials and equipment for layout and installation
Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe connection using threaded, soldered, brazed, or grooved joints and utilizing a variety of hand tools
Install hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps
Complete required paperwork/reports on each job including: daily time, progress, duration, record of parts, material, labor, subs, returns and other cost data per assignment
Adhere to OSHA standards and Company safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have high school diploma or GED
Must have working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Must have knowledge of equipment safety and proper lifting techniques
Able to work from verbal or written instructions
Able to travel to worksites
Able to read engineering/design, architectural and structural blueprints
Able to work on ladders or elevated surfaces and lift/handle up to 100 pounds
Able to work in changing weather conditions
Must have working knowledge of proper care and use of tools
Work boots required
