We are seeking a Fusion Welder A/B/C specalizing in EB (Electron Beam) welding at our location in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The level at which this job is filled will depend on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
Plan, setup and perform all types of fusion welding on production, experimental, and development parts, components, tools, and equipment. Also performs electron beam welding functions.

Identify and utilize the appropriate welding supplies, equipment, fixtures, and settings to perform the required job to specification.

Work from drawing, sketches, operation methods, and work instructions to setup work for moderate to complex welding scenarios.

Utilize appropriate pre-heat techniques when necessary to prevent distortion.

Perform retort welding, induction, and other brazing and silver soldering as required.

Perform necessary maintenance at operator level of tools and equipment. Also follow and comply with policies, including safety and environmental regulations.

Perform other related duties to welding operations as assigned, to assist with production demands.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, and 1-3 years’ direct related experience is a minimum requirement.

Extensive experience with all types of fusion welding equipment: electron beam, conventional, computerized, automatic, semi-automatic, and induction heating equipment.

Must be capable to layout and perform complex welding jobs, to include: laying beads on joints where little room is available to maneuver the torch, or a mirror is necessary to observe bead, and being able to maintain proper atmosphere and utilize necessary enclosures, cover to purge the atmosphere, and retain the inert environment for the weld.

Must be able to perform necessary calculations; and interpret, explain, and apply applicable codes and regulations; read and interpret graphic instructions such as drawings, sketches, models, and other visual aids.

Technical training certification is welcome.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Candidate must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift. Candidate must have the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Additional physical requirements:

Welding environments include metal fumes, molten metal, torches, uv radiation from welding, and utilization of cleaning solutions which necessitate the wear of additional protective equipment such as welding hood/helmet/goggles and welding gloves, safety shoes, and shop coat.
