JOB DESCRIPTION: General Labour – Fab Shop
REPORTING TO: Welding and Fabrication Shop Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Welding and Fabrication or Production Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible to perform general labour duties as assigned in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Various general labour jobs including grinding, deburring, lifting, carrying, moving, loading/unloading machines
- Assisting other operators as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ability to work shifts on a rotating basis
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent
- Safety conscious
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Very hands on attitude
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment
- Incumbent must be safety conscious, as well as dedicated and reliable.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
