Puremetal Welding & Fabrication is a custom metal fabrication shop in Squamish, BC, specializing in structural steel. Position

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated labourer to work in a wide variety of roles. This would include installs in the field or fabrication in the shop or odd jobs. To be successful in this role you must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working as part of a small team. If you are self-motivated, take ownership of your role, and love to learn this is a position with lots of room to grow.

Red Seal Ironworker Apprenticeship offered to suitable candidates.

Wage is based on experience.

Responsibilities

· Handling materials on-site, within the shop, and outdoors as required

· Use of basic hand tools and power hand tools (i.e. grinders, die grinder, wrench)

· Cutting and grinding of various metals

· Assisting welders and Installers with tasks

· Basic housekeeping duties (clean site and equipment)

· Safe work practices

· Shipping and receiving

· Driving flat deck delivery truck

The Ideal Candidate

· Based in Squamish, BC

· Looking to develop and train for a long-term career

· High-level organizational abilities

· Prior experience working with tools or machinery

· Prior experience driving and operating large vehicles and trucks

· Prior experience with driving manual vehicles preferred

· Willing to work in an industrial environment

· Experience with tasks involving physical labour, the use of tools, and heavy lifting

· Be safety conscious, reliable, motivated, safety-conscious, and willing to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
