Job Description:
We are hiring B-Pressure Hand Welders for a Turnaround at the Hinton Pulp Mill.

This Turnaround is expected to run from the beginning of June until mid-June. These positions offer $140/day LOA and up to four hours of travel pay for mobilization and demobilization for those travelling over 100km outside of Hinton, AB.

What would you be doing?

Repairing and cleaning vessels and piping systems in the plant.

Perform tasks in accordance with industry quality and production standards.

Recognize defective welds, know the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area.

Fuse metals safely and effectively use prescribed welding applications.

Does this sound like you?

Previous experience in a facility or mill.

Journeyperson Welder ticket/certification.

B-Pressure, WHMIS, and Fall Protection tickets (mandatory).

Valid Confined Space Entry ticket (considered an asset).

Ability to work long days and work independently.

Strong work ethic and communication skills.

Know and understand the welding equipment involved in various procedures

Must have your own reliable transportation to site.

Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
