Summary

  • Pipefitting and pipe welding on commercial mechanical construction projects.

Job Duties

  • Work on commercial construction projects installing piping systems for mechanical system installations
  • Duties include pipefitting, pipe welding and installation of pipe hangers and related materials
  • Experience working with carbon steel and copper piping ranging in size up to 10 inches
  • Experience working with stainless piping a plus
  • Experience working from ladders and man lifts at various heights up to 40 feet

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with mechanical piping installation
  • 6G certification required
  • Experience in installing chillers, boilers and cooling towers
  • Experience with installation of chilled, hot and steam piping
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints a plus
  • Capable of effectively directing apprentices
  • Must have basic hand tools
  • OSHA 10-hour training (company will provide, if needed)
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, climb and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.

General Requirements

  • Ability to pass a full background screening, MVR and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test
  • Willingness to work overtime, travel and work flexible schedule (including weekends, as required by project)
