Since 1997, the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) has delivered public safety services on behalf of the government of Ontario. With headquarters in west Toronto, the TSSA is a self-funded, not-for-profit organization that employs approximately 400 staff across Ontario. We are currently looking for* Inspector, Boiler, and Pressure Vessel Program*

As an Inspector, you will promote public safety through the periodic/in-service inspection and certification of boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping. You will perform both conventional and nuclear shop inspections for the manufacturing of boilers and pressure vessels. In addition, you will also apply your technical proficiency by conducting welder and brazer tests and by monitoring repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure vessels. As a strong communicator, you will develop progressive relationships with your internal and external customers to promote safety-oriented results.

Job Requirements
You are qualified to write the Ontario Certificate of Competency and will be able to obtain the National Board Commission and ‘A’ and ‘N’ Endorsements. Your five years’ experience in the BPV industry is coupled with a comprehensive understanding of related CSA and ASME BPV codes, the Technical Standards and Safety Act, and BPV Regulations. Working from your home office, you will manage your own schedule and deliver timely service to your customers, utilizing effective decision-making, business management, communication, and intermediate computer skills. As this position requires daily travel, a valid Ontario driver’s license is required.

Location Details
You will be responsible for the regions extending almost the entire GTA. Preference will be given to those who currently reside or are willing to relocate within the GTA.
