Overview
We are looking for an energetic Welder / Assembler / Installer to work in a manufacturing environment with other general labourers and fabricators to assemble and install large and small components in different projects.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assembler Trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks involving physical labor and operate hand and power tools
- Setup welding equipment according to job requirement
- Plan and select optimal welding processes and parameters to ensure minimum distortion and warping
- Prepare material for assembly, including cutting and preparation of raw materials
- Weld using GTAW and GMAW processes on stainless steel and/or aluminum
- Clean and grind welds
- Perform housekeeping duties and comply with company safety policies
- Assembles FPS freezer equipment on customer site
Qualifications & Abilities
- Minimum 2 years TIG/MIG welding experience
- Experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in a manufacturing environment is a definite asset
- Possess valid travel document for travelling to the States and worldwide
- Able to weld in variety of welding position
- Able to read and understand engineering assembling drawings
- Able to meet deadline and work under pressure
- Capable of operating forklift, overhead crane and variety of hand tools
- Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices
- Able to effectively communicate and problem solve with supervisors and team members
- Substantial travelling required (75%+ of the time)
