Light Gauge Mig Welder

Job Duties:

· Prepare Jigs and set up for welding

· Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes

· Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

· Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Mig Welding: 1-2 years (Preferred)

· CWB Certification (Preferred) or Apprentice working towards Certification (Preferred)

· Ability to lift 55 lbs

· Willingness to work overtime when required

· Forklift experience would be an asset

· Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination

· Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time

· While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditionsVision 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range

· Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cool in winter months and hot in the summer months

· Secondary School (Required)

· Speak and Read English

· Day Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm 5 days per week during training transitioning to

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$17.50 per hour
