Job Title: Mechanical Brazer/Welder
Reports To: Mechanical Assembly Supervisor

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
- Guides torch and rod along joint of workpieces to heat to brazing temperature, melt braze alloy, and bond workpieces together.
- Examine seams for defects and rework defective joints or broken parts.
- Melt and separate brazed or soldered joints to remove and straighten damaged or misaligned components.
- Melt and apply solder to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products, using soldering equipment.
- Component preparation, placement and/or installation
- Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
- Participate in all team level quality improvement initiatives
- Ensures the work area is kept clean and that safety rules are followed.
- Mechanical assembly as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-2 years of welding or brazing experience
- 1-2 years experience in electronic manufacturing environment
- Ability to identify components and component values
- Ability to hand solder, desolder and identify solder bridging
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or other shifts according to business needs
- Strong understanding and application of workmanship standards
- Enthusiasm and ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
- Individual should be detail oriented, quality conscious, well organized, analytical and reliable
- Knowledgeable of metalworking safety protocols
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
