DEPARTMENT: Industrial Operations
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for our Hot Rolling Mill in our Operations group.
Responsibilities:
Manage shift in a production facility
Direct employees
Follow up on productivity, downtime, delays, and quality KPIs
Perform quality, and safety inspections
Follow up on training requirements
Interface with maintenance on routine and non-routine items
Perform accidents and incidents investigation
Manage Safety and Quality actions to be implemented
Report on daily productivity and delays
Analyze and provide solution for critical failures
Interface with ancillary departments (Safety, Quality, Maintenance, SUCH)
Education/Experience:
Mechanical Engineeing degree or diploma and previous experience 3-5 years in an industrial, manufacturing environment required
or +10 years’ experience in an manufacturing environment
Previous experience in Maintenance, Hot Rolling mill and/or maintating heavy machinery
Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution based ideas
Ability to work flexible hours as per the requirement of the mill
Previous experience in supervising different trades (mechanics, welders, fitters etc.)
Ability to manage and rotate in shift work
Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Skills:
Exceptional mechanical troubleshooting skills
Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience will be an asset
Conflict Management
Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry an asset
Intermediate Excel and Office skills
Safety and Quality minded, detail oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills, Boots on the ground personality, interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the company
