Omineca Fabricating is a full-service fabrication shop along with field sawmill maintenance and installations. The foundation of Omineca Fabricating is based on the highest caliber of safety, quality and efficiency to retain our commitment to customer satisfaction.

We are currently searching for a Metal Fabrication Shop Supervisor for our Prince George shop.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Job Description:

  • Supervise day shift employees for shop production
  • Schedule and plan work for night shift staff
  • Relay information to night shift cross shift
  • Ensure inspections and maintenance on equipment are being completed as per schedule
  • Review and approve employee time cards and material cards
  • Consult with walk in-customers when the shop manager is unavailable
  • Working closely with Shop Manager to obtain quality results
  • Providing support and assistance to ensure smooth operations in the department
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following and implementing safety practices and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Welding and/or Fabricating experience considered a strong asset
  • Sawmill experience is recommended
  • 3 + years in a shop supervisor role
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a safe environment
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills – Verbal and Written
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • A self-starter that can work under minimal supervision
