Company description

The Bio-Agtive method involves capturing and solubilizing tractor exhaust emissions which is then utilized to treat the seed and the soil when sowing, cultivating or spraying. This technology is built upon the past decade of diligent research and development we have conducted on farms all around the world. Our collaboration with farmers. along with your own experiences using this method, has led us yet to another discovery in the capture and utilization of engine exhaust emissions.

We are located north of Cowley on a farm.

Job description

Employment Duties and Requirements:

  • Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as: tungsten inert gas welding (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, plate roller and other metal straightening and bending machines.
  • Special consideration to previous CNC equipment experience such as cutting tables and CNC press brakes.
  • Valid, class 5 driver’s license.
  • Journeyman and apprentices are both welcome to apply.
  • Bio-Agtive, does and will, consider candidates with work experience and/or interest in the apprenticeship program.
  • Use of bad language will not be tolerated. We are a clean and well mannered place.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentice with valid blue book (or able to get blue book) or a journeyman ticket
  • Basic welding program or equivalent
  • Ability to work in fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical skills and aptitude, including safe operations of hand and power tools.
  • Be able to handle items weighing in excess of 50 pounds. This includes lifting, pushing, pulling and positioning items.
  • Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical and basic math skills including the ability to understand written instructions and perform routine calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use tools in a safe manner.
  • Verify materials and equipment are ready for the project.
  • Identify problems and communicate to supervisors.
  • Confirm measurements and product specifications.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Use various power/hand tools.
  • Frequently lifting in excess of 50lbs
  • Work in various positions for lengthy periods of time.
  • Partner with your co-workers to work together cohesively in performing welding work as assigned.
  • When a problem/challenge does occur, become involved in the solution.
  • Verify work completion with supervisors.
  • We do not tolerate bad language and smoking indoors.

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
