Swegon North America is growing! We are looking for a full-time permanent MIG Welder to join our team in Ajax at our brand new Manufacturing and North American head office location.

What we offer:

  • Hourly Wage: $23.50/hr to start for the 720 hr probation time period, then increases to $24.50/hr
  • Certified Welder $24.00/hr to start for 720 probation time period, then increases to $25.00/hr

Job Summary & Requirements:

  • 2-3 years welding experience or recent graduate from a certified Welding Program
  • MIG welding experience (18 GA to 3/16”)
  • Able to do basic conversions from metric/imperial, fractions to decimals
  • Experience with a tape measure, calipers, protractors, squares
  • Able to take direction from the area lead and management
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience welding stainless & galvanized steel would be an asset!
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
  • We will be testing light gauge to light gauge joint / butt and also light gauge to heavy gauge test plate
  • Good communication and people skills and ability to interact well with others.
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Previous experience including skills and ability to perform the work will be an asset.
  • Assessment of Skills & Ability may be required.
  • Position is subject to shift rotation.

Working 40 hours per week, 4 days per week – Monday to Thursday

DAY SHIFT – 6:00am – 4:30pm

Plant Location – 3 Keensford Court Ajax, ON (close to the 401)
