Overview
Universal Parts Plus, a Burlington based Parts, Service and Repair Company for Refuse Equipment is searching for a CERTIFIED WELDER / FABRICATOR.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mig Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal products according to technical specifications and project requirements. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience in Mig welding and fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Mig welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, in all positions.
- Utilize welding equipment, including welding machines, hand tools, clamps, and grinders to cut, join, and shape metal structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding diagrams to fabricate and weld metal products based on specifications and requirements.
- Inspect workpieces to ensure welding quality and compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools as needed.
- Operate and maintain safety standards for all welding activities.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to provide accurate progress reports on project status.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience in Mig welding and fabrication.
- Expertise in welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in all positions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding diagrams.
- Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including Mig welding machines, hand tools, clamps, and grinders.
- Excellent knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
