Universal Parts Plus, a Burlington based Parts, Service and Repair Company for Refuse Equipment is searching for a CERTIFIED WELDER / FABRICATOR.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mig Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal products according to technical specifications and project requirements. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience in Mig welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Mig welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, in all positions.
  • Utilize welding equipment, including welding machines, hand tools, clamps, and grinders to cut, join, and shape metal structures.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding diagrams to fabricate and weld metal products based on specifications and requirements.
  • Inspect workpieces to ensure welding quality and compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools as needed.
  • Operate and maintain safety standards for all welding activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to provide accurate progress reports on project status.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in Mig welding and fabrication.
  • Expertise in welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in all positions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding diagrams.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including Mig welding machines, hand tools, clamps, and grinders.
  • Excellent knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Salary: $20.00-$29.00 per hour
