Overview
Mold maker / Improver
- Capable of completing tasks as assigned by the leader
- Assembly and disassembly of injection molds of varying complexity (repairs and preventative maintenance)
- Read and verify all critical information on Work Order and on drawings
- Mold Diagnosis
- Component and Press Spotting as required
- Make mold details using milling machines, lathes and surface grinders
- Proficient demonstration of job knowledge
- Focuses on continuous improvement and creative solutions to get the job done
- Effective problem solving in regards to tool build
- Performing duties with little to no supervision
- Can always be relied upon to obtain job completion
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Above average technical knowledge on mold builds
- High standard of professionalism & communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow direction

Apprentice
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Disassemble/Assemble complete molds using proper cranes and lifting devices under the direct supervision of the senior mold maker.
– Able to run manual machine tools under limited supervision
– Experience using precision measuring & gauging equipment
– Capable of using hand and power-driven tools
– Experience working from complex prints, sketches, samples, or other instructions
– Able to keep equipment and work area clean
– Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics
– Willingness to perform other work as necessary to meet production demands

Wage:
– To be negotiated depending on experience
Mold Finisher
- Remove machining and EDM marks must be able to stone, emery, and polish)
- Add draft to mold surface if required & deburr Parting lines
- Match A to B surfaces on Parting lines
- Perform all polishing on both cores and cavities
- Cut in and modify gates
- Attend tryouts trouble shoot and service calls when necessary
- Maintain hand power and pneumatic tools
- Must be able to take line ups from leaders
- Welding considered a major asset
- laser welding Training available to interested parties
- Spotting would be considered an asset

Salary: $31,200.00-$100,000.00 per year
