Overview

Torque Industrial LTD is seeking to hire a motivated, experienced, safety and quality driven Night Shift Fabrication Foreman to join our company. As part of a team of professional trades personnel, this position involves but not limit to supervise a night shift crew. You would follow blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine material measurements, and take responsibly for supervising over a crew for the fabrication of parts used in the assembly processes. You are responsible for the quality of the output, so you must be CWB Certified to ensure weld quality and tolerance is met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the fabrication and manufacturing of metals parts for later assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, procedures, and practices.
  • Knowledge of materials and strong understanding of metals.
  • Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output.
  • Lay out reference points and patterns, construct patterns and templates.
  • Be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Be able to operate shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and occasionally life heavy equipment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Good ability to run and guide crew to preform at top potential
  • Active participation in company safety program.
  • Follow safety protocol including wearing of required PPE and understanding and application of safety policies, procedures, and practices.

Requirements and Qualifications may not be limited too:

  • Must have minimum of 10 years if welding/fabrication experience
  • CWB Certified in FCAW and SMAW
  • Red Seal Trade Certification
  • Experienced with common welding tools and procedures, grinding, and blending.
  • Extensive experience with reading and understanding Design Plans, including Architectural, Mechanical, and Structural Drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of common welding symbols.
  • Experience with and able to demonstrate the ability to work with overhead cranes and unconventional lifts, Including participating in rigging and hoisting operations.
