Overview

Hodge Products is looking for a Painter/ Welder to assist with manufacturing dumpsters and roll offs. In this role, you will weld and fabricate metal sheets, plates, and/or bars according to job specifications. The Welder accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards. This will involve working with Engineering and the Plant Manager to discuss the priority of orders. You will work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment in effort produce quality trash containers. You will be responsible for spray painting the finished containers and making sure the quality is up to HPI standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabricating operations of metal products according to specifications
  • Paint containers in various colors per customer requirements
  • Weld various types of mild steel products based on customer requirements and drawings from the Manufacturing Engineer
  • Report immediately to Plant Manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer to ensure quality is at the forefront for each product and its parts
  • Use of equipment that requires attention to detail in order to prevent injury
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Consult warehouse guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Around 1-2 years of professional or educational welding experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand most of the day and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to wear the proper personal protective equipment (whether it’s your own or company-provided) while working to ensure personal safety
  • Any previous welding, warehouse manufacturing, shipping/receiving, laser cutting, and/or forklift experience is a major plus
