Job purpose:
Comec is looking for workers to work a Shutdown/Turnaround in April 2023 at the Foster Creek Facility. Tentatively booked for April 20th – May 9th 2023. It will be 12 hours days, 8 hours Regular and 4 Overtime. Overtime after 44 hours a week. Camp position and day and night shift available. There will be a differential for nights.
We are looking for the following positions:
Pipefitters- Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter
Labourers-Welders Helpers/Spark Watch/Safety Watch/General Labor
Key Deliverables:
All will be required to have: H2S Alive, CSO, WHIMS (whims can be done during orientation) Site access orientation for Foster Creek and CLAWR industry access.
Pipefitters are required to have: First Aid, Fall Arrest, Confined Space. Journeyperson Ticket or Apprenticeship Card.
Labourers- the following are assets – Confined Space Monitor, Fire Extinguisher Training, Gas Testing.
Any other industry training or equipment training is an asset.

Qualifications:
Please include the list of all trade tickets and industry training that you have. Proof of training will be required before hire.
Will be required to pass a drug and alcohol pre access testing.

Working conditions:
- Work in northern Alberta weather conditions
- Able and willing to work long hours
Physical requirements:
workers should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. This position is considered safety sensitive and will be subject to pre-access, reasonable cause, and post-incident drug & alcohol testing.
- Ability to regularly handle and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to pass a medical fit for work exam
- Ability to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
