Alberta Precast Products is a growing precast supplier and installer in Spruce Grove, Alberta. We are seeking a motivated full-time Construction Welder/Panel Installer to join our field crews, as 2023 is shaping up to be an extremely busy year.

The ideal candidate has the desire to work hard, is punctual, possesses a valid class 5 driver’s license and has previous experience working in the construction industry with the ability to safely operate the equipment.

Successful candidates should be physically fit as this is a position that requires you to perform a variety of physically challenging duties. Most projects are within the greater Edmonton area. Some projects are out of town, and you will be expected to travel within western Canada.

Wages will be based on previous precast experience, & panel installation duties.

Job Description:
Weld panel joints and embedded steel plates on precast panels to screw piles

Assist in the installation of precast components during the erection of commercial, industrial, multi-story and agricultural buildings

Work effectively within a crew of 3-5 team members on a construction site

Complete site prep work prior to the installation of precast wall panels

Help with the rigging and signaling of cranes

Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Take direction and collaborate with your foeman or supervisor

Follow company safety policies and procedures

Assets:
Previous experience installing precast structures and components

Apprentice or Journeyman Ironworker Certificate

Apprentice or Journeyman Welder Certificate

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Standard first aid, aerial work platform and fall protection certification

Requirements:
Physically fit with the ability to lift at least 50lbs

Comfortable working at heights with proper safety restraints

Reliable and flexible to work overtime as needed

Available to work away from home Monday-Friday, 44-50 hours/week and occasional Saturday if required

Follow safety policies and procedures

Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to drive to the site or Precast plant every day

Schedule: Monday-Friday – 8-hour shifts with the potential of overtime and weekend work when the work is there.
