At EFCO, we help those responsible for the construction of the world’s concrete structures with a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient concrete formwork solution. We do this by engineering, designing, manufacturing, supplying and field servicing forming and shoring products for concrete construction.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Production Welder at our Georgetown, Ontario Canada facility. The shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with the possibility of overtime. The pay range is $26.48- $31.22/hour depending on experience.

The successful applicant will inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and compliance with drawings, and stencil as required. The ability to read fabrication blueprints including weld symbols, perform quality audit checks, and complete reporting accurately is a requirement. The position will assist paint line department with other functions as time permits. Must be able to work safely, independently, and able to handle multiple priorities. Good communication skills are required. Experience with cranes and forklift trucks is an asset but will train suitable candidates.

The successful applicant will tack and up and finish weld standard and special forms using fixtures. Knowledge of welding process and ability to read blueprints accurately with two or more years of experience is required. Responsibilities & Duties:
Operate wire gun welders – pulse.

Set-up and utilize weld fixtures.

Reference drawings and fabricate standard and simple special forms.

Use and read measuring tape accurately to 1/64

Record labor accurately on work order and time sheets.

Perform Quality Audit process.

Operate material handling equipment.

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Clean work area on daily basis.

Perform routine preventative maintenance.

Machines, Tools, and equipment used:
Successful applicant will also use the following tools and equipment to complete their assigned tasks: stick electrode unit, wire gun weld unit, weld fixture, hammer, chisels, tape measure to 1/64 or 1mm, material handling equipment, cutting torch, arc air, respirator and PAPR used as required, and others as assigned.

Education & Skill Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of welding and procedures, and ability to pass a weld test.

Ability to read mechanical drawings.
