QA/QC INSP I

Job Description:
Zachary is currently needing a QA/QC Inspector for one of their Maintenance Sites INEOS-Battleground located in the La Porte Area.

QA/QC Inspector Requirements

1. Establish and monitor filler metal control and storage.

2. Monitor welding hold points ( i.e. verify and witness Fit up , weld prep, tack welds) and root passes.

3. Assure or witness preheat / inter pass temperatures

4. Monitor compliance with WPS, specifications, applicable codes, and standards.

5. Assure PWHT compliance and secure documentation of this activity.

6. Assure and document NDE test results.

7. Monitor welder performance.

8. Assure that welders have and use appropriate cleaning equipment.

9. Document daily inspection reports.

10. Able to interpret isometric drawing and P&ID’s for walk down inspections with customer.

11. Perform in process inspections throughout the project.

12. Have a minimum of 7 years in the welding /fabrication

13. CWI preferred , previous Level II certifications acceptable, LPT Certification from previous companies

14. Be familiar with ASME Sect VIIII code work

15. Have knowledge of flange torque procedures

16. Must be able to work nights or days and long hours (i.e. turnaround work).
