Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality and Welding Advisor based out of our Sherwood Park office with travel to various job sites as required.

Job Summary:

The Quality and Welding Advisor is responsible for inspecting and testing of materials, processes, and products to meet quality specifications. Ensuring all non-conformances are identified, investigated and solutions actioned. The Quality and Welding Advisor serves as Centurion’s representative on the project and shall protect and promote Centurion’s interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his/her duties.

Summary of Essential Responsibilities:

  • Welding Procedure Matrix Development for various above ground and mechanical projects in accordance with client specifications and code requirements
  • Reviewing current welding processes and completing optimizations
  • Train welders and weld operators in accordance with company procedures
  • Test welders in Sherwood Park location and Field Locations as required
  • Visit field locations for welding repair troubleshooting

Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience is required
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work on location when required
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, reliable, dependable, sound judgment skills, and general computer knowledge

· Computer skills including: Microsoft word, Excel, and scheduling software

Qualifications:

· Journeyman Welder

· Alberta B Pressure Certification

· CWB Level 1 or 2

· ABSA Certified Welding Examiner

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana
  • Must be fit-for-duty
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada
