Overview
Mega Rebar, a newly established rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge, BC, is actively seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Rebar Fabricators. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment.
Core Duties:
Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes.
Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Work Conditions:
Work in a covered environment
The daily use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe work boots, gloves, helmets, and hearing protection, will be required.
Highly repetitive tasks.
Heavy lifting required.
Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.
Must be familiar with, and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.
Must be able to read a measuring tape.
Ability to lift and maneuver without physical restrictions.
Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently.
Good understanding of customer service for both internal and external customers.
Experience:
Rebar Fabrication: 5 years.
