What will you be working on?

  • Support the engineering department by fabricating and assembling new designs.
  • Operate prototype equipment and help evaluate performance.
  • Assist with the investigation and diagnosing of faults and malfunctions of new and existing designs
  • Adjust, repair, and replace equipment, components, and systems.
  • Assist in ensuring that designs are safe, efficient, effective, and able to be cost effectively manufactured.
  • Tracking and organizing components for new designs through the manufacturing facilities.
  • Support the production department through the creation, fabrication, and maintenance of manufacturing jigs and fixtures.
  • Assist the engineering team as required.

What is required for this role?

  • Minimum of 5 years direct work experience
  • Possess solid understanding of welding equipment and accessories.
  • Experience in product development and/or engineering testing methods is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality.
  • Knowledge of current farming practices and equipment is a strong asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
  • Comply with company polices as well as Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of agriculture equipment is an asset.
