Service Reliability Technician – welding equipment

Are you a proven Service Reliability Technician – welding equipment, with experience in welding and burning equipment? A rare opportunity to join my client’s construction team in Canada has arisen.

The Service Reliability Technician (welding equipment) will work within my Client’s Tooling and Equipment Group, Facilities Department and reports to the Tooling and Equipment Team Lead. The Service Reliability Technician serves as the primary support in performing trouble shooting, general maintenance repairs, and developing analytics pertaining to all welding equipment assets.

The Role:
As Service Reliability Technician – welding equipment your role will involve, but not be limited to:

The Service Reliability Technician is responsible for the following duties at my client’s facilities:

Ensures operation of welding and burning equipment and components by completing preventive, maintenance, corrective maintenance and calibration requirements

Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions

Work with the Inventory Control Team to ensure availability of critical equipment and forecast spare part requirements

Collecting and analysing data to monitor and trend operation KPI’s

Liaison with production teams as required to ensure equipment is performing and operating to meet production requirements

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As Service Reliability Technician – welding equipment you will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Electrical or Mechanical Technologist

Able to obtain manufacture warranty qualifications

Experience in Service Technician work with a focus on welding and burning equipment considered an asset

Proficient in computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook

Previous experience compiling and analysing data

Strong communication skills

Experience in analysing circuits and wiring diagrams to calibrate service, repair or install electronic devices

Happy to travel to several of my client’s locations to carry out this work

Fluent in English language

Open to candidates who have lived in Canada for 5+ years
