Shop Forklift Driver – (2202749)

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Have the ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts in a safe and productive manner. Unload material from railcars and trailers using plate hooks and end chains, a magnet spreader bar, or a forklift. Must be able to read and understand work instructions and drawings. Must be able to safely work outside in the elements in all times of the year. Follow all safety rules and use all required PPE for all tasks. The operator must accept responsibility for his actions especially while involved in a lift using either a crane or a forklift.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of rigging and making lift plans.

Ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.

Have the ability to work with others.

Timeliness.

Punctuality.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Certified overhead crane operator.

Certified forklift operator.

Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Physically fit and able to work on he feet.
