Overview

Job duties and responsibilities:
The ability to read and understand technical documents, safety rules, fabrication blueprints/drawings and manuals

Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces

Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met

Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on safety

Using mainly Gas Tungsten Arc Gas Welding (GTAW/TIG) to fuse together stainless steel metal segments

Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic), brazing and soldering equipment and metal shaping machines

Operating angle grinders and other tools

Polishing Stainless Steel metals according to specifications

Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures

Basic maintenance of welding equipment.

Following all safety and health procedures, identifying issues to avoid accidents and hazards

Job Qualifications:
College or technical trade school in welding is required

Minimum 5 years of fitter experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural welding preferred

Experience with welding Stainless steel architectural metals

Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints

Solid grasp of spoken and written English

Ability to work independently or with light supervision

Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)

Pay will be based on experience
