Overview

The hours of work are Monday night through Friday morning (7:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.). The Welder performs skilled welding work in the fabrication and repair of metal hoses. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous welding experience. Candidates must have knowledge of the tools, materials, and practices of the welding trades and knowledge of hose and fittings. Manufacturing experience is preferred. We are looking for a team player who can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, is physically able to perform the duties of the job (lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, twist, kneel, use hand and power tools, etc.), has strong communication and customer service skills, and can work at least 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reads and interprets blueprints and work orders

Verifies orders for correct quantity and hose length

Performs inspection for correct hose and appropriate fittings

Determines correct alloy to be applied to all welds

Performs skilled welding following standardized procedure for AMP and RPM

Learns job related material primarily through verbal instruction and observation

Visually inspects completed welds to determine compliance with standards and checks quality and appearance of finished hose

Makes appropriate repairs to assemblies that do not meet standards

Maintains daily production logs

Works safely without presenting a direct threat to self and others

Works cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality product

Reacts to change productively and handles other essential tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required

Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English

Basic welding experience required

Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Good basic math skills

Must have knowledge of standard tools, materials, and practices of welding trades

Must have knowledge of hose and fittings

Highly professional and dependable

Quality conscious and detail-oriented

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Safety and customer service oriented

Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to sit for 80% of the day
